WestJet is marking 30 years in the air with a giveaway that’s worth paying attention to. The WestJet 30th birthday contest is handing out 30 prizes of 100,000 WestJet Rewards points each – that’s $1,000 worth of points per winner. But to have a chance of winning, you need to enter before the March 9, 2026, deadline.
The draw happens on April 29, 2026, and entries are still being counted.

What’s Up for Grabs
The prize pool is as follows.
There are 30 prizes in total, each worth 100,000 WestJet Rewards points.
WestJet values each prize at approximately $1,000, which tracks – WestJet points are worth roughly 1 cent each toward WestJet flights.
100,000 points go a long way on a domestic round trip or a sun destination booking.
WestJet flies to over 100 destinations, so there’s no shortage of ways to spend them.
To be eligible, you need to be a Canadian resident (Quebec residents are excluded from this one) and a WestJet Rewards member. Membership is free if you don’t already have it.
How to Enter the WestJet 30th Birthday Contest
There are three ways to enter the WestJet content.
- There are 2 options that require you to take action during the contest period.
- The No Purchase Necessary Method must be completed via mail.
Book a Flight
WestJet Rewards members who registered for the contest and booked a round trip, or two one-way WestJet-operated flights, between February 23 and March 9, 2026, received 5 entries automatically.
Eligible fares included Econo, EconoFlex, Premium, PremiumFlex, Business, BusinessFlex, and Member Exclusive. UltraBasic fares didn’t qualify.
The travel itself just needed to fall between March 1 and December 31, 2026.
Use Your WestJet RBC Mastercard
Primary cardholders of a WestJet RBC Mastercard, WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard, or WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard for Business could earn up to one entry per day for eligible purchases. Entries are based on transaction posting dates through March 16, 2026. And of course, the card must be linked to a WestJet Rewards account, and the member must be registered for the contest.

No purchase? No card? There is still an option for you.
To enter without spending anything, write your details on a plain piece of white paper.

Contest Rules Worth Knowing
- The draw takes place on April 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. MT in Calgary.
- All 30 winners will be drawn that day, with two winners selected per contest day from entries earned on that specific day.
- A few fine-print items: winners can win on multiple contest days, but only once per day.
- A skill-testing question is required to claim the prize.
- Quebec residents are not eligible.
