The Decks Docks Deals Contest from Foodland and Sobeys is on now. If you have a Scene+ account and plan to grill soon, it’s worth checking out. Spend $20 on select Maple Leaf wieners or smoked sausage, scan your Scene+ card at checkout, and you’ll be entered to win a Broil King Crown Wood Pellet 400 Smoker, worth about $999 CAD. Three smokers will be given away, one in each region, so three Canadian households could get a backyard upgrade this summer.
What’s Actually Up for Grabs
There are three prizes in total, one for each region: Ontario, Atlantic, and West. Each winner gets a Broil King Crown Wood Pellet 400 Smoker, worth about $999 CAD. There are no Scene+ points or cash prizes, just the smoker itself, which is a quality grill. Winners will be drawn on July 2, 2026, and you don’t need to be present to win.
The draw is regional, so you’re only competing with others in your area. Your entry goes into the pool for Ontario, Atlantic, or West, so there are fewer people to compete against.
How to Enter the Decks Docks Deals Contest
Purchase Entry (the straightforward way)
- Head to a participating Foodland Ontario, Foodland Atlantic, or IGA West store.
- Buy two participating products from the Maple Leaf family. This includes Maple Leaf Top Dogs, Schneiders Juicy Jumbos, Shopsy’s, Larsen, Coachman, Burns, or Mina wieners and smoked sausage. Beef products do not count.
- Scan your Scene+ card at checkout during the contest period, which runs from May 28 to June 17, 2026.
- You get one entry for every two qualifying products you buy. For example, if you buy four items, you’ll get two entries.
Some products are only available in certain regions. Schneiders Red Hots and Shopsy’s are only at Foodland Ontario, Larsen wieners are only at Foodland Atlantic, and Burns wieners are only at IGA West. Check the full product list on the rules page before you shop to make sure you choose qualifying items.
No Purchase Entry (free, and it counts the same)
You don’t have to buy anything to enter. Go to the customer service desk at a participating Foodland or IGA West, show your Scene+ card, and ask for a no-purchase entry. The cashier will scan a UPC for you. You can do this more than once a day, but only one entry per transaction. No-purchase entries have the same odds as purchase entries, as required by law.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
You need a valid Scene+ account to enter this contest. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to sign up first. Scene+ is free and lets you earn points at Scotiabank, Cineplex, and all Empire Company grocery stores, so it’s useful even after the contest.
You must be the age of majority in your province when you enter. Quebec residents can’t enter. If you win, you’ll need to answer a skill-testing question, which is a simple math problem. Winners will be contacted within 14 business days after the July 2 draw.
